Furnace condensate drain pipe is broken at the neutralizer
A broken PVC joint at the condensate neutralizer is a repair, and the furnace stays. Look at the break. A clean white socket means the glued joint pulled apart, and a jagged edge means the elbow snapped from heat and age. Both get cut back and reglued with a new fitting in about two hours. If the furnace also locks out during ignition, the condensate has nowhere to go, and the drain repair is what clears the lockout.
